I’ve been booked to speak at some really interesting venues from London ExCel, Manchester EventCity and the NEC in Birmingham to small rooms at the back of counselling centres and office space in foster care agencies but the forthcoming event venue has to be the one I’m most proud of. My dad would be, too and I wish I could phone him to share the news. Sadly, he died just over 5 years ago now.
I don’t even know the title of the bigger event but I’ll be delivering autism training to GPs and Practice Managers at a conference at the Oval cricket ground. I have very fond memories of Sunday afternoons spent with dad at Trent Bridge cricket ground watching Nottinghamshire play in Sunday league 50 over matches.
The conference will be a fantastic opportunity to network and present autism in a very positive light.
